A wide reach of sugar-white sand, a calm sea gone glassy in the last warm light, and a storm staging its slow exit overhead. The clouds part just enough to let a luminous glow break through — and out at the horizon, a single bolt drops to the water where the rain is still falling.
Dusk and weather in one frame, the palette entirely the evening's own — mauve, rose, a bruised gold along the cloud line. A single exposure, the sea smoothed by a long shutter, the strike caught at the edge where the storm meets the Gulf.
