The Watchman (Black & White)
The Watchman (Black & White)
Stripped of color, the storm has nowhere to hide. The bolt reads like a fracture in the sky. The chair reads like a held breath.
A single exposure — no composites, no stacking, no separate strikes pulled together in post. What black and white reveals here is structure: the architecture of the cloud, the branching geometry of the strike, the small vertical line of the chair anchoring everything against the horizon. Color would tell you about the weather. Monochrome tells you about its weight.
A favorite of the South Walton Fire District lifeguards who work this stretch of coast. For the collector who prefers their drama in grayscale.

How It's Made
How It's Made
Every piece is made to order, just for you. Your chosen image is printed and finished by an award-winning professional photo lab, using archival materials built to hold their color for decades. This is an open-edition work — not numbered, but no less considered. One exposure, printed with the same care whether it's the first to leave the studio or the fiftieth.
