The Beaver Moon sits just above the treeline, and Western Lake sits just below it — still enough to hold a near-perfect reflection of both the Moon and the blush-to-lavender sky above. Tall Florida pines frame the left side of the image. The whole scene is bathed in dusty rose and purple, that specific color the sky turns in the minutes just after the sun drops below the horizon and before the night fully arrives.
Captured in a single exposure, this is the wider, more expansive companion to Western Lake North II — same lake, same Moon, same evening, but pulled back to let the landscape breathe. Where North II is intimate, North I is sweeping. Together they tell the full story of that night.
