The clouds don't hide the stars here — they dance with them. Susan Gunn captured this single-exposure frame on the Gulf Coast on a night when the Milky Way refused to be swallowed by passing weather. Clouds streak across the frame in long sweeping arcs, the coastline curves below, and somewhere in the middle the sky and Gulf agree on something quiet and enormous.
